Astronauts are not actually allowed to eat beans before preparing for launch. This is because if you fart in a spacesuit enough times, it will destroy the oxygen filter, thus breaking the suit.

Additionally, heart disease or excessive cholesterol is bad for astronauts because the heart shrinks when going into space.
